Past Simple
Come in italiano, il passato si usa quando:
- Le azioni sono terminate
- Gli eventi sono nel passato
- Si possono aggiungere time phrase (last year, yesterday)
Verbi regolari
Forma affermativa, aggiungere -ed in fondo al modo infinito
- we call you
- we call-ed you
Forma negativa, aggiungere il verbo ausiliare to do NOT (da coniugare al passato) seguito dal modo infinito (senza -ed)
- we don't call you
- we didn't call you
Forma interrogativa, aggiungere il verbo ausiliare to do (da coniugare al passato) invertendo la posizione con il soggetto, seguito dal modo infinito (senza -ed)
- Do we call you?
- Did we call you?
NOTA: alcuni verbi non hanno bisogno dell'ausiliare to do: to be, non ne ha bisogno, to have invece ne ha bisogno.
